Delegate Awards
At their discretion, the CalSPAC Co-Chairs may select a winner for each of the following awards as appropriate for each individual League year. The Co-Chairs shall write a description (or have the region’s Delegate do so) of the honorees’ contributions. These remarks will be read at the presentation of the awards at the CalSPAC Spring Conference.
CalSPAC Rising Star Award
This honor is awarded to a CalSPAC Junior Delegate who made significant contributions to the Delegation, her home League, and her local community. The recipient has demonstrated outstanding initiative, exemplary leadership, and has begun to implement her advocacy skills. Through consultation with League Presidents, Board members and committee members, the CalSPAC Co-Chairs shall give the Rising Star Award on behalf of the Delegation for outstanding service to CalSPAC and her community. The recipient shall have demonstrated tremendous commitment in assisting CalSPAC to attain our mission of “developing civic leaders and advocates as well as in creating community impact.”
CalSPAC Above and Beyond Award
This honor is awarded to a CalSPAC Senior delegate who made significant contributions to CalSPAC by working above and beyond her role or the normal call of duty. The recipient shall have demonstrated outstanding initiative, exemplary leadership, and helped advance the development of CalSPAC itself. Through consultation with League Presidents, CalSPAC Delegates, and Policy Sub-Committee members, the CalSPAC Co-Chairs shall give the Above and Beyond Award on behalf of the Delegation for outstanding service to CalSPAC.
CalSPAC Community Impact Award
This honor is awarded to a CalSPAC delegate whose actions exemplify civic leadership in her local community. As an extension of the advocacy skills developed through her CalSPAC tenure, this award is given to the CalSPAC delegate who has made a meaningful contribution to advance a significant public policy issue in her home League’s community. The Community Impact Award is the highest honor that a CalSPAC delegate can receive and is given by the CalSPAC Co-Chairs on behalf of the Delegation for tireless commitment to advance meaningful issues within CalSPAC’s mission and focus areas.
